Fantastic pilgrim related resource for the whole of the city of Santiago. Ivar decided to relocate his pilgrim friendly business here. He runs it as a shop/office/work studio/delivery point and luggage storage point. You can even take a walking pole (and sometimes other pilgrims items) from him without charge! I am impressed with what is stocked and what you can buy. This includes the Credential, pilgrim guidebooks and gear like Altus backpacks,Altus ponchos, buffs etc. In addition, a wide range of souvenirs and gifts from jewellery to maps of the Caminos de Santiago to the actual bronze scallop shells that adorn pilgrim streets and point the way. All of the stuff he stocks is available on his Pilgrim Forum Digital Shop and can be posted securely anywhere in the world. But the best is Ivar himself who is willing to give up some of his hectic schedule to talk to me and conversations with him are always uplifting. By the footfall he appears to be really popular which is not surprising to me given the longstanding success of his English speaking International Forum.

Ivar was so helpful to me before, during and after my pilgrimage on the Camino Frances last year. Before my journey his web forum and videos helped me plan and calmed my nerves. During my camino, I would check the forum for updates and even used it to recover my dropped money belt. (Pilgrims are the BEST) I also had need to ship an item ahead to Casa Ivar mid-journey for safe keeping. And at the end of my journey, when I picked up my box, Ivar offered great advice on how to spend my time in his beutiful city. I'm so grateful for him- his services and calm demeanor helped me achieve a long-time dream.

Amazing place and terrific luggage service! Just finished the via de la Plata from Cadiz and Casa Ivar shipped and stored my luggage perfect lily for the 55 days we were on the trail! A huge thanks!

I used Casa Ivar to transport a bag from Oviedo to Santiago de Compastella. There was a glitch with DHL for my shipping. The employees at CI were on top of it and made sure my bag made it to Santiago. I’m very much appreciative for what they did. I would highly recommend them.
